The Circle Security Classroom Approach is an 8-week professional development opportunity designed especially for educators and professionals working with children of any age. This reflective program helps you understand and respond to children's emotional needs through the lens of attachment, connection, and safety.

Childcare or preschool teachers, sports coaches, or other professionals working with children who want to strengthen their relationship with the children in their care.

The beautiful thing about the Circle of Security Classroom Approach is it can be integrated seamlessly with any other curriculum or modality already being used in your setting. When children feel safe and secure they are better able to engage with course content.

What will you learn?

Together we will explore:

The importance of a secure attachment and how relationships in the early years lays the foundation for children's lifelong relationships
Ways to support the children you work with to successfully manage emotions and enhance the development of their self esteem
Practical strategies to manage challenging behaviour and develop trusting relationships with the children you work with
Your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure in their relationship with you

How does it work?

You can choose to join this training alongside other educators from other schools, playgroups or organisations, providing a wonderful opportunity to network and learn from each other. Alternatively you can opt to have the training run exclusively for your team, providing a not just professional development but also a rich team building opportunity.

We will meet as a group once a week for a 1.5hr session. The sessions consist of a combination of watching Circle of Security videos, completing some reflective exercises, engaging in group discussions and completing practical exercises together.

We will then have a week to allow the information to settle, to reflect and learn through doing. The magic really happens when we are able to take our learning and reflections back into the classroom and see the Circle in action. Each week there is an invitation to share your "Circle Stories" - stories of seeing the Circle in action with the children you work with and any reflections that come to the surface.

Each session builds on the previous one, so it is important to try and attend all sessions.
